  • Most days will be between 4-5 hours of driving spread throughout the day with stops for lunch, fuel & restroom stops, sightseeing, and off-road segments!

  • YES!

    You need to obtain a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) a MINIMUM 72 hours before departure to New Zealand. This can be requested online or through the NZeTA mobile app and is valid for up to two years. Additionally, travelers must have a valid passport, a return or onward ticket, and proof of sufficient funds for their stay. Processing for the NZeTA can take up to 72 hours, so it’s recommended to apply in advance.

    If your country of residence (passport issuer) is not on the NZeTA program, you must apply for a visitor visa separately. If you have questions regarding this process, please visit the link below for further info.

  • Please arrive in Auckland by Jan 31 2026 at the very latest to be able to attend the Welcome Dinner on the evening of Jan 31.

    Please note that international attendees from the US/Europe you will be crossing the international date line and need to depart the on or before Jan 29 2026 to ensure you arrive in New Zealand on the morning of Jan 31 2025.

  • Your dietary requirements have been noted from your registration and passed onto all venues, caterers and restaurants.

    If the dietary requirements are life threatening, please the Far Out team when you join the convoy to ensure we highlight this to all venues and food providers.

  • Packing List:

    Casual clothing to travel in
    Smart casual for evening events/dinners

    A light raincoat and/or a light down jacket

    A jersey/sweater as evenings in Wellington and the South Island may be chilly depending on the weather
    Suitable footwear for driving/walking (sneakers/trainers)

    Swimwear + travel towel - there will be rivers/lakes to swim in along the way
    Suncream/sun protection

    Personal effects for the duration of the trip

    Any medication you require/may require (i.e. allergy medicine/antihistamines etc)

    Electronic adapters + chargers
    Wallet and credit card/card(s) that can be used in NZ - (internationals please advise your card issuer that you are travelling to NZ)

    Drivers Licence (physical copy)
    Personal ID (passport/govt issued ID)
    Refillable water bottle

    Please pack 'lightly' as all luggage will be travelling in vehicles in the convoy!

  • You will largely be travelling in areas that have cell coverage, but there will be periods when you are out of coverage.

    In the event of an emergency, the convoy has walkie talkie radios in each vehicle as well as a Sat phone and a PLB. Safety is our highest priority.

    You will be
    responsible for your own accommodation and transportation from the conclusion of Far Out 4x4 2025 from late afternoon on Feb 08.
    This is an incredible opportunity to stay on and do 'all the things' that Queenstown is famous for.

    This is also a great time for family and friends to join you in NZ.

  • A videographer will be present along with media for parts of the trip. All content published will be made available to all attendees.

  • Yes. Key media who have been individually invited may be present during the trip.

  • Please let us know at the start of the event and we can ensure that your likeness is not recognizable or used.

    Please note that our Cancellation Policy states:

    Your deposit is non-refundable from 30th October 2024.

    In the event of cancellation, please contact the organizers at your earliest convenience. If a suitable guest is found by the organiser after 30th October 2024. to take your place your deposit will be refunded. This is at the sole discretion of the organisers.

    Within 60 days of the event (15th November 2024), actual cancellation costs incurred from suppliers will be charged.

    From the time of confirming a hotel booking, you will be liable for any cancellation costs incurred.
