Far Out Foundation is a New Zealand nonprofit. This notice covers website analytics, advertising pixels and browser storage on farout.nz and 40.farout.nz.
You choose optional tracking
Analytics and advertising are optional. Rejecting them does not prevent browsing, contacting us or applying for a Dream Seat. Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to choose each category or withdraw permission. We remember your choice on this browser and website for 180 days, then ask again. Each hostname keeps its own choice. Browser privacy signals disable optional tracking.
What is stored and shared

| Necessary | Far Out stores your cookie choices for 180 days. If you use the Dream Seat application, its unfinished draft is kept in your browser with a 60-day expiry, checked when you reopen the form. You can clear the draft on the form or clear browser storage. |
| Analytics | When configured and permitted, Google Analytics measures public page visits. Google receives page, browser, device and network information, including an IP address used by its service. Analytics cookies identify repeat visits; our configured cookie lifetime is 180 days. |
| Advertising | When configured and permitted, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and Microsoft Universal Event Tracking measure campaign visits and support advertising audiences. These providers receive public page visits and campaign identifiers, browser/device details, network information and identifiers they set or already hold. If you are signed in to their services, they may associate visits with your account. Their cookies and retention are controlled by their services and your provider settings. |
We do not pass chat messages, application answers, contact form fields, email addresses or LinkedIn profile entries to these tracking tools. Optional tags are excluded from our contact and application forms. Necessary service requests, external images, fonts and video hosting still reveal normal connection information to their hosts.
Overseas providers
Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Microsoft may process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Overseas privacy protections may differ from New Zealand’s. Optional tracking only starts after you permit its category. See each provider’s privacy information for processing, retention and account controls:
Changing your choice
Withdrawal stops future optional tracking and reloads the page to unload tracking software. We remove accessible tracking cookies set on our domains. It does not undo information already sent or delete cookies on another provider’s domain; use the provider’s controls for those. You can also remove cookies and local storage through your browser.
